The categories, in plain terms
Before the full technical list, here’s what each category actually does.
Required for the site to function, mainly to remember your cookie preferences themselves. These can’t be switched off, and switching off cookies entirely in your browser is the only way to stop them.
Anonymous, aggregated data on how people use this site, which pages get read, where visitors come from, what’s not working. This is Google Analytics. It’s optional and off until you accept it.
Cookies used to measure advertising performance or personalise ads. None are currently active on this site. If that changes, this page and the consent banner will be updated first.

Managing your choice
You made a cookie choice the first time you visited, and you can change your mind at any time from this page rather than digging through browser settings.
